We're so excited to have a big, shiny new feature for good causes! Below are some information about how campaigns work, if you'd like a bit more information, be sure to check out our announcement blog post.

How campaigns in Echoleft work.

We recommend starting with the theme of your campaign and how you'd like people to engage with it. Here are a few examples:

• A “Volunteering Pledge” Campaign. Participants add their own pledge to the campaign and share it on social media.
• A “Mother's Day” Campaign. Ask your supporters to upload a photo of the flowers they bought for for their mum.
• “Memory Tree” Campaign A great in-memory campaign, each contribution to the campaign can become part of a ‘memory tree’. Participants are able to add a “story” to their contribution which can be shared on social media.
• “Awareness Campaign” Supporters can add their favourite thing about your good cause and share it straight to social media.

These are just a few examples, there are an unlimited number of options, we'd love to hear what campaigns you can come up with!

For each campaign, you can choose how you would like people to contribute. Here are just a few of the options you can toggle and customise:

• Allow contributors to add a “Story” to their contribution using our custom story editor, including photos and video.
• Allow in-memory donations. This allows people to leave the name of a loved one and, optionally, create a memorial site.
• Ask participants if they'd like to donate while taking part.
• Offer the option to create a fundraising page after contributing the campaign.

Saying “Thank You”

Once a contribution has been completed, the “Thank You” page can be customised with video, photo and text. You could add a video message from your team, or from the beneficiaries of your work. For in-memory campaigns, a simple video of lighting a candle could be perfect.

Contributions can then be shared on social media, and we've provided some great customisation options, putting you in control of the images that appear when a link is shared on Facebook.
