Rose Queen in 1950 alongside best friend Pam, with whom she was inseperable at the time. The Rose Queen festival is a traditional festival held to celebrate the arrival of Summer held in May. After crowned the Rose Queen lead the parade of coloured floats and people dressed in fancy dress costumes down the High Street.
