Simon Wood, Lucy Woodhall, Claire Hacon, Melissa Fisher, Millie Warren, Devante Dlayedwa, Caroline Storey, David Abel, Megan Parkin, Scott Oakley, Dan Alford and Conor Hunter-Mahon are a team of 12 at Persimmon Suffolk who have agreed to skydive on 7th September 2019 to raise money for Age UK Suffolk.
We will be soaring to around 13,000 feet (approximately two miles high) to jump, then falling at about 120 mph, reaching 5,000 feet in around 40 seconds!
Age UK Suffolk works hard to combat a range of age-related problems and a large part of their focus is on tackling loneliness among the elderly, with an emphasis on bridging inter-generational gaps.
Ageing is not an illness, but it is challenging and it can take bravery to live independently in later life. At Persimmon Homes Suffolk, one of the main reasons for choosing a skydive as our fundraising activity is to mirror and highlight that courageousness of the generation before us who pathed our futures but who are often overlooked.
Our business is about building homes together and we are proud to take this further with Age UK Suffolk to help build community links and develop understanding in the younger generations of the problems our elderly face and the many ways in which we can make a difference.
Thank you in advance for your generous contribution to this wonderful cause – all donations are appreciated, big and small.
We will be sharing updates with you in the run up to the event! It's a great cause and we really appreciate your support .
