It was well-known that Robin Williams was an avid fan of video games, having a daughter named Zelda made that clear!

It seems he was also a fan of Blizzard’s monstrously popular online game World of Warcraft. In the wake of his unfortunate passing, Blizzard decided to pay tribute to Williams in-game by giving him his own small island populated with references to his illustrious career.

If you take your character to Nagrand, the level 98-100 Nagrand not the old one, you can find a small island off the South-East coast of the area.

Climbing up to the island’s summit you will find a number of references to Williams’ characters including a lamp that, upon giving it a rub, beckons a Genie character called Robin, a large broken egg in reference to Mork and Mindy and a few toys on the ground, possibly a reference to the film Toys.

It’s so nice to see these kinds of tributes pour in when someone, who touched so many lives, passes away. To be immortalised in a game he once enjoyed is the least Blizzard could do to honour the positive effect he has had on so many.
