Einstein's Love of Music

Although he did not enjoy learning to play the violin originally, which he started at the age of five under the guide of his mother, he fell in love with music at the age of thirteen, when he heard Mozart’s violin sonatas. He occasionally played alongside professionals at Chamber Music shows and often entertained friends and guests with musical performances. Music became a regular part of his social life whilst living in Bern, Zurich and Berlin. Even when he was much older, many complimented him on his level of coordination and intonation. \n\nUnfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any audio or video recordings of Einstein’s performances online. It’s a shame that the technology wasn’t quite available to capture any of these, what would now be, historic performances."}}]
